Since 2023, we’ve stood alongside Peamount United through growth, success and continued progress in women’s football.
We’re proud to renew our sponsorship of the Women’s Senior Team for a fourth consecutive year as they prepare for the 2026 season.
Based in Newcastle, South County Dublin, Peamount United competes at the highest level of the Women’s National League and has established itself as one of the leading clubs in Irish women’s football. The team claimed championship titles in both 2020 and 2023 and has produced internationally recognised players, including Katie Taylor, Stephanie Roche, Louise Quinn and Karen Duggan.
For our CEO, Shena Brien, the partnership is both professional and personal. As a long-time supporter of the club in her local community, continuing the sponsorship reflects a genuine commitment to the team and its ongoing success.
“We are incredibly proud to continue our support of Peamount United Women’s team for the fourth year in a row,” said Shena Brien, CEO of IP Telecom. “Women’s football is building incredible momentum, with growing visibility, investment and support creating real opportunity for the women’s game in Ireland to reach new heights. We’re passionate about playing our part in that progress.”
Supporting Success On and Off the Pitch
Our involvement reflects a simple belief: women’s football deserves steady, sustained investment.
By renewing this partnership year after year, we aim to contribute to an environment where players can perform at their best and where standards continue to rise.
That commitment extends beyond the senior squad. In 2023, a €500-per-goal pledge in Peamount’s final match resulted in a €3,000 donation to the girls’ academy following a 6–1 victory.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Women’s football in Ireland continues to build real momentum, with growing participation, visibility and belief across every level of the game. We’re proud to contribute to that progress by partnering with a club that consistently creates meaningful opportunities for players at every stage of their journey.
As an Irish-owned telecom company, we understand that sustainable progress is built over time. In business and in sport, success depends on consistency, long-term thinking and a willingness to invest in potential.
