Job Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and booking sales opportunities for IP Telecom’s sales team.

You will act as the first point of contact for prospective customers, engaging with inbound leads and executing targeted outbound campaigns. Your primary objective is to generate sales-qualified meetings and opportunities, ensuring a strong and predictable pipeline for Business Development Managers.

This role is an ideal entry point for a career in B2B technology or telecoms sales, with a clear progression path into Business Development or Account Management roles.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Qualification & Pipeline Creation

  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website enquiries, and partner referrals

  • Execute outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and targeted campaigns

  • Identify high-potential opportunities aligned to IP Telecom’s solutions

  • Book qualified meetings and hand over opportunities to Business Development Managers

Prospect Engagement

  • Engage prospects through structured discovery calls and needs analysis

  • Clearly articulate IP Telecom’s value proposition and solution offerings

  • Build early-stage relationships with decision-makers and influencers

Sales Process & CRM Management

  • Accurately capture lead and opportunity data in CRM (Zoho experience preferred)

  • Maintain activity, pipeline, and conversion metrics

  • Ensure clean handover of qualified opportunities to sales colleagues

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to align campaigns and messaging

  • Provide feedback on lead quality, messaging effectiveness, and market trends

  • Participate in sales training, coaching, and performance reviews

KPIs & Performance Metrics

  • Number of sales-qualified meetings booked

  • Conversion rate from lead to opportunity

  • Pipeline value influenced

  • Activity metrics (calls, emails, meetings)

  • Data quality and CRM accuracy

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with confidence on phone and video calls

  • High energy, resilience, and a results-driven mindset

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Ability to follow structured sales processes and messaging

  • Experience using CRM systems or sales tools (Zoho preferred, but not essential)

Preferred Experience

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a sales, telesales, or customer-facing role

  • Exposure to B2B, technology, or telecoms environments

  • Familiarity with outbound prospecting and lead qualification techniques

  • Interest in developing a career in technology or telecoms sales
